I first became aware of nature's impact on my psyche as a Boy Scout. Over time I came to appreciate even more the significance of nature on my overall mental and emotional outlook. Modern day urban living seems to have limited the opportunity for many people discover this relationship, which seems to have flourished in the past. The writings of Marcus Aurelius, first century Roman Emporer, is a good example. Many thanks to professor Richard Ryan for adding validity and shedding additional light on a subject that so many folks seem to ignore today.

'The more you can appreciate nature, the more you can benefit.' Yes!! Looking at a tree's fractals with the sky, the perfection of a tiny flower almost trod upon, the richness of the multitude of greens along a country road, mists 'being and becoming' through the hills ~ looking at them and SEEING the beauty of nature as being shared by the self, which is also of nature ~ now, that's some benefit.

For a unique and mystical view of nature, of the everyday experiences that are part of or are related to perceiving nature in its true glory, I invite you to the website for information about my newly published book of metaphysical poetry ~ Live, From the Mystic.
