We had a recent Visioning Workshop and learned there are 50 churches that close every week in the US. Clearl that's a trend that started decades ago.

Churches need to be outwardly facing to the community, reaching out to the mission field so to speak.

God is an idea, nothing more. It's certainly possible; but without objective evidence outside our anthropomorphic literary inventions, there's no reason to believe in any of it. This might diminish a person's level of comfort, but reality doesn't seem to care.

This may be our one chance at existence. Let's not siphon this one experience through manmade, dogmatic conventions that are bankrupted, blind, ignorant of Nature, and unbelievably arrogant.

For there is nothing more humbling and revealing than science, always open to change and adjustment, much like evolution itself.

The Templeton foundation is so biased. The author's conclusion is no surprise since the Templeton's slant is to promote religion.

My personal belief is that all religions are manifestations of God. He is so diverse that no one religion has all His attributes. This allows me to evaluate other ideas with calm. I am very comfortable with my own religion because it allows me to do this.
