My daughter has Lennox-Gastaut (uncontrollable or semi-controllable) epilepsy. At the moment we have achieved something unusual - fair to good control. However, there are thousands of epileptics who need treatments such as this one. Epilepsy is the product of small area scattered brain damage, and this would likely effect reconnections. Nothing is worse than watching someone you love having seizure-after-seizure, night-after-night. Please help those who need it so greatly.

This is wonderful, almost unbelievable. What is stopping it from being applied to humans that have had a stroke. Is there a nutrient like vitamin B2 that might stimulate production of this protein. Can't wait!

I have a friend who has had 4 strokes and is paralysed on the right side of the body and cannot speak clearly. I wonder if this advance in stroke therapy will ever be able to help him.
