Coal was commonly used for heating and cooking in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Coal was burned much less efficiently than a modern coal fired power plant, and would have been in much closer proximity to the population, therefore should have had much a bigger impact. We should have tons of health evidence from those times if burning coal has extreme risks. This historic evidence would be much more compelling than another easily manipulated statistical model. I fear a government with the power to control my behavior enough to effect the environment more than I fear climate change.

huummm, as a child I shoveled coal into a wheelbarrow to feed the boiler for heat, and then cleaned the ash out of it when the fires were out, today I have delt with Multiple Sclerosis for 18+ years. They know that M.S. is caused by inflamed nerve tissue- maybe we can slow or stop this disease before I am in a wheelchair!
